Underhill is a small town located in the state of Vermont, United States. With a population of just over 1,000 people, the area is known for its rural charm and peaceful atmosphere. The town was first settled in 1783 by settlers from Bennington, Vermont and named after Jonathan Underhill. The original settlers were farmers who cleared land for farming and built houses from logs cut from nearby forests. There are also several historical sites around town including an old mill building from 1820 that has been restored into a museum with displays about life during that time period.
