Mukilteo is a city located in Snohomish County, Washington with a population of around 21,000 people. It is situated on the Puget Sound, just north of Everett and 25 miles north of Seattle. The climate in Mukilteo is classified as oceanic or marine west coast, meaning that it experiences mild winters and cool summers.

The history of Mukilteo dates back to the mid-1800s when the first settlers arrived from England and Scotland. In 1883 the town was officially incorporated as a city and soon after it became a popular destination for steamboat travelers, who would disembark here to visit nearby resorts. Today, Mukilteo is known for its picturesque beaches and waterfront parks along with its historic lighthouse.

Politically, Mukilteo is part of Washington’s 1st congressional district which leans Democratic. In terms of the economy, many residents are employed in aerospace manufacturing companies such as Boeing and General Electric Aviation. There are also numerous small businesses located in town that provide goods and services to local residents.

Mukilteo is served by three public school districts: Mukilteo School District, Everett School District and Edmonds School District. The city also has several private schools including St John Vianney Catholic School and Providence Classical Christian Academy.
