Caryville, Tennessee is a small town located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is located in Campbell County, and has a population of 1,856 people according to the 2010 census. Caryville has a rich history that dates back to the early 1800s when it was first settled by Scotch-Irish immigrants.

The town was named for William Cary, who was one of the original settlers of the area. He built a mill on nearby Cove Creek and established a post office in 1843. The post office operated until 1855 when it closed due to lack of business.

Caryville is known for its outdoor activities and natural beauty.
